We are a small but dynamic community, running a retreat centre that offers peaceful and refreshing short-term breaks to individuals, families and groups, as well as use of the Hall as a venue for events. In our 25th year as a retreat centre, Westwood is looking to grow its community as we move into the next chapter. Westwood is a space where all can encounter peace and rest, and for those who are searching for belonging and identity. We aim to be a diverse, creative and welcoming place, with sustainability at our core.
We are looking for two people to join our team of wardens. There are several possible ways to join the team, so please do get in touch if you want to be a part of our community. We are currently looking for live-in wardens but we always welcome short-term volunteers. Living on site and helping the resident team of volunteers manage the day to day running of the centre with beautiful views, accommodation and a small honorarium in return. You would be expected to work around 15 hours per week/per person.
Anyone who feels a stir to donate their skills, time and gifts to helping this beautiful place and its people thrive, should apply in writing with a brief outline of your employment history and skill set. Informal visits are encouraged and suitable candidates will be invited to meet the trustees on 3rd November 2018.
