Job Opportunity: Groundskeeper

Position: Groundskeeper (Seasonal)

Job Status: 6 hours per week, Fixed term 

Salary: £12 per hour

We are looking to grow our team at Westwood to include a seasonal Groundskeeper.This person should be enthusiastic about working outdoors, ideally have some experience in gardening/maintenance, but most importantly have a willingness to learn.The role is hands-on, with the operation of garden machinery and occasional heavy lifting.

We are looking for someone who will share a passion for making Westwood as presentable as possible. Ensuring the gardens are tidy, safe and accessible for our visiting guests. Reliability is essential, days/times are very flexible and the role will eventually evolve into being self-led.

Main duties will include:

● Grass cutting

● Hedge trimming

● Lawn treatments

● Tree and shrub pruning

● Planting & Weeding

● Carry out ad hoc tasks

● Path jet washing

● Small maintenance repairs (garden furniture, gates, fences etc.)

Ultimately we are looking for someone who is eager to be a part of a team focused on Westwood’s vision of providing a peaceful place of retreat.

Interviews will take place in the form of a paid trial day (6 hours) alongside our Site Maintenance Officer.
